Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Insurance Advisor role based in Springfield, IL, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the week. The Insurance Advisor will meet with clients to understand their healthcare and retirement needs, explain Medicare options, and recommend suitable plans. Responsibilities include conducting coverage reviews, preparing plan comparisons, assisting with applications and enrollments, and providing ongoing support for policy changes and renewals. The role involves maintaining accurate client records, staying current on Medicare regulations and product updates, and participating in training and team meetings. The Insurance Advisor will also engage in outreach activities, such as follow-up calls and scheduled appointments, to build and maintain a strong client base.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Insurance and Medicare products, with the ability to clearly explain plan options and coverage details.
- Basic understanding of Finance concepts related to retirement planning, premiums, and out-of-pocket costs.
- Consulting skills to assess client needs, analyze options, and provide tailored recommendations.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication abilities, including active listening, clear verbal explanations, and professional written correspondence.
- Relevant state insurance license (or ability to obtain within a defined time frame).
- Comfort with CRM systems and basic office software for managing client information and documentation.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- Prior experience in insurance, healthcare, or financial services is preferred but not required.
