Gruber Tool and Die is seeking hard working individuals willing to learn and grow. We are currently hiring a Designer. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience designing metal stamping dies. This is a challenging position that requires attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
Gruber Tool & Die, Inc. is a family-owned Tool and Die shop in West Bend, WI. We are a one-stop, full-service shop from prototyping to production tooling. At our state-of-the-art facility we specialize in building difficult and complicated progressive dies. Gruber Tool and Die has a very experienced design staff and a group of highly trained toolmakers capable of producing complex and close tolerance stamping dies. Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with engineers and designers to develop a process to produce the customer’s part.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create: Weld Fixtures, Prototype Tooling, Hand Transfer Dies, Transfer System Dies, Progressive Dies
- Utilize simulation software to develop a forming process.
- Review die designs with customers.
- Work with toolmakers to produce the die and troubleshoot part issues.
Qualifications
- SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD experience
- Metal stamping experience
- 3 years design experience
