What You'll Do
Deliver Fast, Quality Service
- Perform multi-point vehicle inspections on every vehicle and communicate findings accurately and thoroughly
- Complete express services including oil and filter changes, tire rotations, wiper blade replacements, battery tests and replacements, air filter changes, and fluid top offs
- Check all fluids and maintenance related parts, topping off or replacing fluids, filters, and components as required
- Ensure lube, oil, and filter services are completed in a timely manner to drive customer satisfaction on every visit
- Perform routine service inspections, tests, and standard maintenance jobs in accordance with OEM and dealership standards
- Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing as needed
- Install protective coverings in every customer vehicle before work begins and return the vehicle clean and ready
Keep the Line Moving
- Work efficiently in a high-volume express lane environment while maintaining quality on every repair order
- Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of work in progress and estimated completion times so customers are always informed
- Assist with vehicle staging, pulling vehicles in and out of bays, and supporting overall service drive flow
- Flag any safety concerns or additional repair needs discovered during inspection before returning the vehicle to the customer
- Ensure all required documentation is complete and in compliance with dealership regulations and standards
Own Your Bay
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and bay that reflects the Grubbs standard at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of all customer vehicles while performing service or repairs
- Properly handle and dispose of fluids, filters, and shop waste in compliance with dealership and environmental guidelines
- Follow all shop policies, procedures, safety protocols, and environmental rules without exception
- Support shop appearance and safety standards and contribute to an efficient operation through inventory stocking and general shop functions
- Take responsibility for all tools and equipment used during service operations
Grow With the Team
- Attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and educational classes as required
- Continuously pursue new technical knowledge and skills through formal training to stay current with rapidly evolving automotive technology
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Grubbs core values in every interaction with customers, coworkers, and vendors
- Support fellow technicians and service team members with day to day operational needs as directed by shop leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Prior express lane or lube technician experience preferred, but a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow will take you far
- Basic automotive knowledge with a solid understanding of routine maintenance services
- Ability to perform multi-point inspections and communicate findings with accuracy
- Familiarity with shop documentation requirements and compliance standards
- A professional, polished appearance in compliance with Grubbs dress code standards
- Physically active role: must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling throughout the day
- Responsible and detail oriented when handling customer vehicles and dealership equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- ASE certification is a plus but not required
Schedule & Availability
This is a full time, 40 hour per week position.
