A global leader in heavy industrial thermoprocessing solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its Engineering function globally. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary engineering team, predominately Mechanical, Process, CFD and Combustion.
You will drive innovation, elevate engineering standards, and strengthen the technical capability of a team delivering complex combustion and pyroprocessing equipment used in demanding industrial applications.
The Opportunity
As Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team across the US and UK.
- Drive product development, R&D initiatives, and technical excellence across pyroprocessing and combustion product lines.
- Oversee engineering delivery from concept through to site involvement, ensuring quality, timelines, and commercial performance are met.
- Implement best-in-class engineering tools, processes, and project management methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with operations, proposals, services, and project teams to support both new product development and complex engineered-to-order projects.
- Manage resources effectively across a hybrid, multidisciplinary environment.
- Travel internationally up to 15%.
What You’ll Lead
- 15 engineers across the US and UK
- R&D, product development, combustion and CFD engineering, proposal support, and project execution
- A team navigating complex matrix engineering challenges and global product responsibilities
What You Bring
- Engineering degree with 10 years of relevant experience
- At least 5 years leading engineering teams
- Strong background in plant or mechanical engineering
- Experience with SAP, Inventor/CAD tools, and engineering data management systems (EDM)
- A leadership style rooted in coaching, influence, and cultural improvement
- Proven capability managing complex engineering portfolios and balancing technical and commercial priorities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across global teams
Experience of thermoprocessing is not required, but strong people leadership skills and a desire to create positive change is!
