What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor/Teacher position at GRT?
Get Results Tutoring is seeking Tutors to join our team! We are located in State College, on 919 University Dr Suite 3. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.
What We Do:
- Provide one on one tutoring sessions for students K through College.
- Teach all levels of math, science, reading, SAT/ACT, and study skills.
- Provide tutors with vast resources to support their students.
- Build students' confidence as learners and set them up for success!
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions.
- Support students with their homework, test prep, and your own learning plan for them. (No at home prep needed).
- Explain concepts in a clear, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
- Record notes on each tutoring session, including content covered, scores/progress, and next steps.
- Communicate effectively with students and, when appropriate, parents/guardians.
- Maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong English, Math, or Science skills.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus.
