What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Canvassers - Brooklyn, NY position at GRSG Company?
We are hiring canvassers for a door-to-door outreach project in Brooklyn neighborhoods with large Jewish communities.
We are especially interested in applicants who are familiar with Midwood, Gravesend, Manhattan Beach and surrounding communities and understand local customs and observances.
What You’ll Do
- Speak with residents door-to-door
- Deliver a short provided script
- Record responses using a mobile app
- Represent the project professionally and respectfully
Preferred
- Familiarity with Brooklyn’s Jewish neighborhoods
- Understanding of Shabbat, Jewish holidays, and community etiquette
- Yiddish or Hebrew language skills are a plus
- Canvassing, outreach, sales, or customer service experience

- Smartphone
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable walking and speaking with residents
- Available weekdays and/or weekends
