The Sales Representative / Sales Supervisor is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing customer relationships, supervising sales activities, and supporting the execution of the company’s sales strategy. This role combines active business development responsibilities with leadership and oversight functions to ensure sales targets, customer engagement, and operational alignment are consistently achieved.
The position requires a highly motivated, results-driven individual who can actively hunt for new business opportunities while also providing guidance, accountability, and support to the sales team. The role involves fieldwork, customer visits, industry networking, pipeline management, and collaboration with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Development & Business Growth: Actively identifies, pursues, and secures new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer outreach. Develops strategies to expand market presence and increase company revenue.
- Team Supervision & Sales Leadership: Provides day-to-day guidance, support, and accountability to sales representatives. Assists in monitoring team performance, sales activities, and pipeline progression to ensure alignment with company goals and expectations.
- Customer Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Ensures consistent communication, addresses concerns, and identifies opportunities for long-term partnerships and account growth.
- Customer Visits & Field Sales: Maintains availability for customer visits, site meetings, presentations, and field sales activities to strengthen customer engagement and business development efforts.
- Sales Meetings & Operational Coordination: Participates in internal sales and operations meetings to review sales performance, customer feedback, forecasts, and operational requirements. Coordinates with internal departments to ensure alignment between customer expectations and operational capabilities.
- Networking & Industry Events: Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and client meetings to promote company products and services while generating leads and business opportunities.
- Pipeline & Performance Management: Maintains accurate sales pipeline records, monitors opportunities, and ensures timely follow-up on leads and customer requests. Provides regular reporting on sales activities, forecasts, and business development efforts.
- Coaching & Performance Accountability: Supports the development of sales team members through coaching, performance feedback, and operational guidance. Reinforces accountability in achieving sales goals, customer engagement expectations, and company standards.
- Sales Targets & Revenue Accountability: Responsible for achieving assigned sales and revenue targets individually and, where applicable, supporting overall team performance against company growth objectives.
