What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extruder Operator - AM/PM Shifts Available position at GROWSCAPE?
Job Purpose
The purpose of the Advanced Machine Operator is to perform full and comprehensive operation of extrusion and/or thermoforming manufacturing machines to produce company products of the highest quality. This position requires you to work in a warm temperature environment throughout your shift. You would be required to obtain a full range of motion from standing, reaching, moving, bending, and lifting up to 50lbs as necessary.
Key Responsibilities

Operates thermoforming, extrusion, packaging, and material handling equipment as required in a safe and professional manner

The ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move up to 40 pounds

Observes and always follow and model all safety policies and procedures

Monitors machines or equipment for alarms, indicators, and or unusual sounds to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with leads to diagnose problem or repair machine

Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery

Leads by example and performs all job duties in accordance with Growscape values

Supports all company policies and procedures

Performs other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned

Must be able understand the technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
