We’re looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic 3K Assistant Early Educator who is ready to help three-year-olds explore, build friendships, and discover what they can do. Bring your creativity, patience, and willingness to join the fun—from building block towers to bringing a favorite story to life.
Your role in helping little minds grow
Working under the direction of the lead early educator and with support from the Director, you’ll help create a classroom where children feel safe, included, and excited to learn. You’ll be an active partner in daily learning experiences and routines, supporting the classroom’s educational plan while building meaningful relationships with children and families.
A day at Growing Tree may include:
- Bringing stories, songs, art, movement, and hands-on discoveries to life.
- Helping prepare materials and support classroom activities, small groups, and outdoor exploration.
- Encouraging sharing, friendship, problem-solving, and growing independence through patient, positive guidance.
- Supporting meals, snacks, rest time, handwashing, and bathroom routines while respecting children’s dignity.
- Noticing children’s interests and accomplishments and sharing observations with the lead early educator.
- Maintaining active supervision, accurate child counts, and safe transitions throughout the day.
- Keeping learning spaces clean, organized, welcoming, and ready for the next adventure.
- Communicating warmly and professionally with families while protecting confidentiality.
- Participating in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Following Wisconsin DCF 251 licensing requirements, NAC accreditation standards, and center policies.
What you’ll bring to our team
We’re looking for someone who shows up reliably, works well with others, welcomes feedback, and understands that three-year-olds need both playful learning and steady, caring support.
For this position, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- The Wisconsin Registry Level 7 REQUIRED (at least two college courses in ECE)
- Obtain required Wisconsin child care background-check eligibility.
- Complete required health documentation, orientation, and safety training within applicable deadlines, including abusive head trauma prevention, child abuse and neglect reporting, and CPR/AED certification.
- Be able to participate in indoor and outdoor activities and carry out essential care and supervision responsibilities, with reasonable accommodations as appropriate.
Experience working with preschool children and additional early childhood coursework are a plus!
