Growing Together Pediatrics is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and results-driven Revenue Cycle Manager to lead our billing and revenue cycle operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the financial health of our practice through efficient revenue cycle management, strong team leadership, and a commitment to excellent patient service.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes, mentoring staff, solving complex billing issues, and working collaboratively with physicians and practice leadership to maximize revenue while maintaining compliance and a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, from insurance verification through payment posting, collections, and account resolution.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the revenue cycle team, promoting accountability, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
- Monitor billing operations to ensure claims are submitted accurately and promptly, minimizing denials and payment delays.
- Manage accounts receivable performance, identify trends, and develop strategies to improve collections and reduce aging balances.
- Analyze revenue cycle metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, front office, and administrative teams to improve workflows and optimize reimbursement.
- Investigate and resolve billing issues, claim denials, coding discrepancies, and payer concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Develop, document, and improve revenue cycle policies and procedures to increase efficiency and consistency.
- Provide ongoing education and training to billing staff regarding payer updates, billing best practices, and workflow improvements.
- Oversee provider enrollment, credentialing, and recredentialing to ensure uninterrupted participation with insurance plans.
- Assist practice leadership with revenue reporting, forecasting, and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of medical billing and supervisory experience; Or revenue cycle management experience, preferably in a multi-provider physician practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims processing, accounts receivable management, and reimbursement methodologies.
- Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and managed care plans.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management software. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is strongly preferred.
