- Deliver high-quality pediatric dental care, including examinations, cleanings, restorations, and preventive treatments tailored to children’s unique needs
- Perform dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery with precision and care
- Conduct patient assessments by evaluating medical and dental histories, applying appropriate medical terminology, and utilizing medical imaging tools
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Implement infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry to optimize patient care efficiency and comfort
- Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans using clear dental terminology
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry procedures, and relevant medical knowledge such as anatomy understanding
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Pediatric Dentist with certification in pediatric dentistry or equivalent credentials
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting with pediatric patients
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control standards, and medical documentation practices
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and their families while demonstrating empathy and professionalism
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance guidelines and medical imaging techniques
