Growing Seeds Of Love is currently seeking caring motivated people with big hearts to work in a Residential Group Home setting caring for youth with Autism..
Staff work mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight and/or weekends. Full time and/or PRN positions are available. Schedules vary according to the needs of the sites. Access to agency vehicles when taking individuals on outings and appointments is provided.
- Staff must have Strong interest in working with children and youth diagnosed with autism and related special needs
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and/or implementing Applied Behavior Analysis strategies or Registered Behavior Therapist is preferred.
- Under the supervision of the Direct Child Care Supervisor, the Direct Child Care Staff (DCCS) ensures that the physical, emotional, educational, social, spiritual and cultural needs of each individual client are met.
- Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- Successful completion of the GSOL training program in working with Autistic Children
- Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions
- Physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared to implement all medical, safety, and emergency procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following.
Promote the Mission of Growing Seeds of Love Group Home
Conduct oneself in accordance with the Growing Seeds of Love Group Home.
Demonstrate initiative in carrying out all duties and responsibilities associated with youth placed in the home.
Actively participate, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, in formulating and following through with service plans for all children in their care.
Attend all team meetings, case conferences and home reviews as scheduled.
Provide 24-hour supervision and a structured environment to ensure the safety and well-being of each client.
Communicate openly and regularly with the team regarding the children and their well-being.
Implement all behavior plans that are created for the children including the level system.
Support the child’s/family participation in mental health services as designated by the multidisciplinary team. Participate in family (house) therapy as indicated.
Attend all scheduled medical appointments and follow through with any and all recommendations made by the medical professionals.
Administer medications as instructed and in accordance with RCCL, GSOL, RBWO minimum standard policy
Monitor school attendance and assess performance to ensure academic success for all children.
Attend and participate in all school activities and meetings as recommended by the multidisciplinary team.
Ensure the child’s participation in tutoring and special academic programs, as designated by the multidisciplinary team.
Assist all children with homework and/or school projects.
Advocate for children’s needs within the school system.
Maintain and model proper upkeep, routine maintenance and cleanliness of the home and its furnishings, submitting work order for damages/or repairs in a timely manner.
Ensure proper care and safe handling of all agency vehicles, following through with all maintenance as recommended by the Facilities Manager.
Ensure that all seat belts are fastened and that all persons are secure in agency vehicle before driving.
