Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of infants and toddlers
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety and proper behavior management at all times
- Support diapering, feeding, nap times, and other daily routines with patience and care
- Engage children through play, storytelling, music, and other stimulating activities that encourage learning and exploration
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences, milestones, and any concerns
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure children's safety and well-being are prioritized at all times
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in a daycare setting preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices is essential
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a strong plus
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid or related safety training is required or obtainable upon hire
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies for infants and toddlers is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children from diverse backgrounds
- Previous experience in daycare center settings or early childhood education environments will support success in this role

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
