Our teachers work as a team and take conscious responsibility for the classroom, its management, the function of schedules, and the guidance of all children.
The Clubhouse is in search of a positive, energetic, passionate & reliable Pre-K 2 teacher to care for and guide our sweet 4-5 year olds alongside your co-teacher! This is a Monday-Friday, 7:15a-4:15p position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and engagement with the children at all times.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as stated in our handbook, keeping our mission statement and core values at the forefront of your mind while making decisions.
- Carry out all classroom routines and activities while staying on schedule and instilling a sense of structure, managing behaviors and meeting the needs of each student.
- Helping children use the bathroom or, when necessary, changing pull-ups.
- Maintain open and effective communication with your co-teacher through all aspects of the day to ensure consistency for the children.
- Assist in planning and implementing age appropriate lesson plans and activities following the Clubhouse curriculum guidelines to assist in the development of the children, while working with your fellow teacher, equally dividing responsibilities.
- Keep open lines of communication with parents by interacting throughout the day, utilizing the Brightwheel app to log activities and send pictures.
- Share a positive attitude and serve as a role model for children in all areas including attitude and actions.
- Assist children during meal times, and assist with meal time clean up.
- It is the commitment of both teachers to provide a safe and healthy environment by following cleaning and sanitizing guidelines, including the steps in the classroom closing checklist.
- Attend all team meetings and training as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Co-Director.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
