About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee warehouse operations, lead warehouse and installation teams, and ensure the successful execution of infrastructure projects.

This role is responsible for the efficient flow of materials, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, team performance, and installation execution. The Operations Manager will establish clear processes, maintain operational accountability, and ensure resources are coordinated to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

The ideal candidate combines proven leadership experience with strong ERP proficiency, sound operational judgment, and a track record of reliable execution. This person must be comfortable managing competing priorities, resolving problems independently, and improving processes across warehouse and field operations.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring approximately 20% travel to installation sites to supervise field teams, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspections, inventory storage, picking, staging, packing, and outbound shipping.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure materials are properly tracked, allocated, and prepared for project deployment.
• Coordinate with procurement to maintain material availability and resolve inventory discrepancies or supply issues.
• Establish standards for warehouse organization, equipment use, material handling, and workplace safety.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

ERP Systems & Operational Controls

• Use the company’s ERP system to manage inventory, process orders, track material movements, coordinate purchasing workflows, and generate operational reports.
• Ensure system transactions and inventory records are accurate, complete, and maintained consistently.
• Use ERP data and performance metrics to identify discrepancies, monitor operational performance, and support decision-making.
• Improve system utilization, documentation, and workflows to strengthen inventory control and operational visibility.

Team Leadership & Performance

• Lead and supervise warehouse personnel and installation teams, establishing clear expectations for productivity, quality, safety, and accountability.
• Coordinate staffing, workloads, schedules, and priorities to meet operational and project requirements.
• Train employees, provide performance feedback, and address personnel or performance issues promptly.
• Build a dependable, team-oriented culture focused on ownership, communication, and consistent execution.

Installation & Field Operations

• Coordinate installation schedules, personnel, materials, equipment, and site readiness to support project timelines.
• Travel approximately 20% of the time to supervise installations, visit job sites, and verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Provide field teams with direction and resolve installation, material, scheduling, and logistical challenges.
• Monitor installation progress, communicate project status and risks, and coordinate with project teams, contractors, customers, and other stakeholders as needed.

Logistics & Continuous Improvement

• Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, freight scheduling, carrier coordination, and material delivery.
• Align warehouse activities and production or assembly schedules with project demand and installation timelines.
• Track key performance indicators, including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, on-time shipments, productivity, and installation performance.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Maintain effective operating procedures, safety practices, documentation, and equipment readiness.

What You Bring

• 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, manufacturing, production, or field operations, with demonstrated responsibility for operational performance.
• Proven people leadership experience, including supervising warehouse employees, installers, field personnel, or similar operational teams.
• Hands-on ERP experience managing inventory, orders, material movements, purchasing workflows, or operational reporting. Daily operational use of an ERP system is required.
• Demonstrated success coordinating people, materials, logistics, and schedules to meet deadlines and project requirements.
• A track record of reliability, follow-through, sound judgment, and taking ownership of problems through resolution.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
• Ability to establish expectations, hold teams accountable, and maintain high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.
• Willingness to work hands-on in the warehouse and travel to active installation sites as needed.
• Forklift experience; certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and inventory or warehouse management tools.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000, depending on experience
