Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our outpatient addiction treatment center! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient intake, verifying insurance, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and billing procedures. The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service and supporting clinic efficiency.
Duties
- Client Screening & Assessment: Responding to inquiries, conducting initial assessments (history, needs, clinical/financial fit) via phone, chat, or in-person.

- Insurance & Financials: Verifying insurance benefits, authorizing coverage, and explaining financial responsibilities.
- Coordination of Care: Communicating with families, referral sources, and internal staff to ensure smooth transitions and proper placement.
- Client Support: Handling high-stress situations, providing empathy, monitoring new admissions for immediate needs, and sometimes managing belongings/rooms.
- Crisis Intervention: Providing immediate support and intervention for clients in crisis, often with on-call rotations.

Pay: $30,097.77 - $49,107.00 per year
