Overview
We are seeking a Christ-like and motivated Part-time Closing Staff Member/Teacher to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the final hours of our daily operations while fostering a positive and enriching environment for young children. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a strong background in early childhood education to help us ensure a smooth closing process and a joyful experience for all children.
Shift times: M-F 2:00pm-6:00pm
Duties
- Supervise children during the closing hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement engaging activities that promote social-emotional development and classroom management
- Assist with classroom cleanup and organization to prepare for the next day
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs and daily updates
- Follow all safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws when necessary
- Maintain accurate attendance records and activity logs during shift
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle behavior management effectively
- Ability to work flexible hours with an emphasis on closing shifts in the late afternoon or evening
- Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude toward children and families
