Overview

We are seeking a Christ-like and motivated Part-time Closing Staff Member/Teacher to join our vibrant team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the final hours of our daily operations while fostering a positive and enriching environment for young children. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, compassion, and a strong background in early childhood education to help us ensure a smooth closing process and a joyful experience for all children.

Shift times:

M-F 12:00pm-6:00pm

And

M-F 2:00pm-6:00pm

Duties

• Supervise children during the closing hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement engaging activities that promote social-emotional development and classroom management
• Assist with classroom cleanup and organization to prepare for the next day
• Communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding children's needs and daily updates
• Follow all safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and mandated reporting laws when necessary
• Maintain accurate attendance records and activity logs during shift
• Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and pediatric first aid is highly desirable
• Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to handle behavior management effectively
• Ability to work flexible hours with an emphasis on closing shifts in the late afternoon or evening
• Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude toward children and families

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
