Growing Groves is leading a search to grow the team of Quality Engineers for a client in Buffalo, New York!

This Quality Engineer position is for the individual who prefers a high mix of low volume parts, has a sharp eye for inconsistencies, and an open interest in cooperating with outside vendors.
Location: Buffalo, New York, USA
Reports to: Quality Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Heavy involvement in incoming vendor parts inspections and nonconformance investigations.
- Emphasis on corrective actions, root cause analysis, vendor education, and continuous improvement using nonconformance metrics.
- Support ISO requirements: internal audits, QMS maintenance, and possible calibration program support.
- Work closely with inspectors (Not performing measurements themselves)
- QE duties include resolving shop-floor issues (e.g., misaligned holes, drawing errors, vendor support, etc.)
Position Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or shop facility with welding, machining, fabrication, or related
- Familiarity with common quality tools used in end-of-line quality checks, like hand gauges or CMMs
- Strong understanding of Microsoft products like Word, Excel, etc.
- Capable of 10% local/regional travel to vendors
- Engineering degree or equivalent
Position Preferences
- Experience with ERP
- Familiarity with ISO systems and QMS
- Experience in a production/shop floor role
Employee Compensation and Benefits
This is a Salary Exempt position paying up to $100,000 based on experience.
