Growing Care Development Services, LLC is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Community Liaison to expand our behavioral health referral network throughout the Richmond and surrounding areas. This position is ideal for someone with experience in healthcare marketing, behavioral health, community outreach, or business development who is passionate about connecting individuals with quality mental health and substance use treatment services.

The Community Liaison will serve as the primary representative of Growing Care Development Services by developing relationships with hospitals, Community Services Boards (CSBs), primary care providers, behavioral health agencies, schools, correctional facilities, substance use treatment providers, and other community organizations to increase referrals and promote our continuum of behavioral health services.

Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, emergency departments, behavioral health providers, physicians, schools, CSBs, probation and parole offices, social service agencies, and community organizations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community members, organizations, and stakeholders, fostering strong relationships through excellent communication skills.
  • Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and outreach activities to increase community awareness of agency services.
  • Develop and implement marketing and referral development strategies.
  • Attend networking events, health fairs, and community meetings to represent the agency.
  • Maintain regular communication with referral partners to ensure continuity of care and strengthen partnerships.
  • Track referral activity and provide weekly outreach reports to leadership.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for program growth and community partnerships.
  • Assist with planning outreach campaigns, educational events, and provider engagement initiatives.

Skills

  • Proven experience in community outreach, engagement, or management roles with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities for community outreach events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and communication purposes.
  • Skilled in social media management and social media marketing strategies to maximize outreach efforts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with diverse populations effectively.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for creating compelling content and reports.
  • Experience in customer service, volunteer management, or client communication to foster positive interactions.
  • Knowledge of data collection methods, fundraising techniques, budgeting processes, and strategic planning principles.
  • Business development experience is a plus for expanding partnership opportunities within the community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare marketing, behavioral health, case management, admissions, outreach, or business development preferred.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health services, Medicaid, community resources, and referral processes is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
