Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various counseling techniques, including individual and group counseling. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to clients, helping them navigate their challenges and achieve their personal goals. The Counselor will work in a clinical setting, engaging with diverse populations, including individuals seeking Christian counseling. Locations of services are located in Lucasville and Scioto County Ohio.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' emotional and psychological needs.
- Ensuring clients receive appropriate resources and support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and case notes using medical terminology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Stay informed about the latest clinical research and best practices in counseling.
- Implement strategies for working with individuals and tailoring approaches to meet their unique needs.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards in all client interactions.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field is preferred.
- CT, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S, LSW, LISW from Ohio
- Experience in clinical counseling, individual group counseling, or case management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the clinical environment.
- Understanding of Christian counseling principles is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
