Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with experience in General and OB/GYN ultrasound imaging to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while providing an exceptional client experience.
This position offers a highly flexible schedule, making it ideal for sonographers seeking supplemental work or work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in General and OB/GYN specialties.
- Obtain and document accurate patient histories and relevant clinical information.
- Ensure optimal image quality and proper anatomical documentation.
- Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout examinations.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients and families.
- Prepare preliminary technical findings for interpretation as required.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational concerns.
- Adhere to all applicable safety, quality assurance, and infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, providers, and team members.
Qualifications
Required
- Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) credential through ARDMS.
- Specialty credentials in OB/GYN and Abdomen (or equivalent General Sonography experience).
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles, anatomy, pathology, and scanning protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a private practice, boutique imaging center, or women's health setting.
- Additional ultrasound certifications or specialty credentials.
- Experience providing exceptional patient-centered care.
