Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Technician

Location: Spokane Valley, WA

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

Grow Op Farms is looking for a hands-on HVAC and Refrigeration Technician to keep the mechanical backbone of our cultivation, warehouse, and production sites running smoothly. You'll take ownership of the climate-control and refrigeration equipment that our growing and manufacturing operations depend on every day — diagnosing issues, making repairs, and keeping systems tuned before small problems become big ones. If you're the type of technician who likes digging into a tricky mechanical puzzle and thrives in a hands-on, ever-changing facility, this role was built for you.

What You'll Be Doing

Diagnostics & Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across our facilities, including compressors, condensers, chillers, pumps, valves, thermostats, relays, motors, heat exchangers, and safety controls.

Preventive Maintenance: Carry out routine upkeep on heating, cooling, refrigeration, boiler, and ventilation equipment to keep everything running at peak efficiency.

Installs & Rebuilds: Install, rebuild, or replace fans, motors, bearings, gaskets, controls, filters, belts, and other mechanical or electrical components as needed.

Electrical Work: Troubleshoot and maintain electrical components tied to HVAC equipment, including motor wiring, timers, and control panels.

Equipment Testing: Test and inspect boiler and water heater performance, and safely operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, vacuum pumps, testing gear, and company vehicles.

Inventory & Documentation: Keep parts inventory stocked, tools in safe working order, and log labor, materials, and completed work in our asset management system.

Vendor Coordination: Partner with third-party contractors on maintenance projects and track preventative maintenance contracts to confirm scheduled work gets completed.

Safety First: Follow all safety procedures, company policy, and applicable regulations, and take on additional maintenance tasks as they come up.
