What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Grow Marketing?
I’m looking for a driven, entrepreneurial accountant to build and lead the entire accounting function for Grow Marketing — a fast-scaling 250-person door-to-door fiber internet sales company.
Role Description
This is not a maintenance role. You will take full ownership of accounting and continuously redesign systems for accuracy, efficiency, and explosive growth while helping create an amazing experience for our sales teams.
You’ll own books, budgets, reporting, complex contractor payroll for hundreds of reps, and building the scalable processes to drive profit and efficiency. We've already built the foundational accounting systems, so now you'll refine them and continue building. You will also manage and direct our part-time accountant that already knows our systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Accounting required; CPA or Master's is a plus
- 2 years in a senior accountant or higher role, including experience with Financial Statements, Journal Entries (Accounting), and general ledger management
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a hunger to create, improve, and drive change
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets mastery (4 years building complex models, automations, and solutions)
- Sharp eye for errors, forward-thinking problem anticipation, and end-to-end execution of system improvements
- Proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive them end-to-end — from discovery through planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
