We are currently looking for Preschool Assistant Teachers to join our team in Boonville, NC.
Who are we?
We are a nonprofit Head Start organization that was established in 1974. We serve migrant and seasonal farmworker children and families by providing high-quality early childhood education in a safe and nurturing environment. We have 50 campuses across 10 states, and we serve nearly 3,000 children each year.
Essential Functions
As the Preschool Assistant Teacher you will support children’s school readiness by providing a safe, culturally and linguistically responsive, and developmentally appropriate Head Start classroom environment. Position follows Grow Early Learning service plans, Family Engagement practices, and supports the implementation of Grow Early Learning Program Goals and Objectives.
Qualifications
Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or state equivalency or enrolled in an associate/bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in a CDA credential or state equivalency program to be completed within two years of the time hire in the position.
Experience working with Latino community, knowledge of the Latino migrant farmworker culture/lifestyle. Head Start experience preferred.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
