Aide-Instructional Technology-Groves Intermediate

POSITION REQUIREMENTS  

      Education:            Paraprofessional Certification Training that meets NCLB requirements 

                                     OR minimum two years of study at institution of higher learning

                                     (48 college hours) and/or Associate Degree required.

      Experience:          Educational Aide experience preferred

      Licenses/Other:   Eligible for state Paraprofessional Certification or such alternatives as may be

                                      acceptable to the district. Documentation of Highly Qualified status.

Provide students with appropriate virtual instruction in the subject area assigned to help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

• Assist teachers and students in use of computers, printers and instructional software;
• Work cooperatively with teachers to identify student placement in instructional software;
• Install a variety of computer programs following complex written instructions;
• Detect and arrange for maintenance and repair of computer equipment;
• Manage student behavior in the computer lab;
• Other duties as assigned by the principal
