Job Title: Electrical Engineer I
Location: Warsaw, Indiana (Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (40 hours/week with optional overtime)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer I with hands-on industrial electrical experience to support facility operations, equipment installations, maintenance activities, and electrical troubleshooting. This role will work closely with facility and maintenance personnel while also independently performing electrical installations, repairs, and general facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, electrical safety practices, and equipment installation within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repair activities for facility and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, power distribution components, and industrial equipment.
- Bend and install conduit, size wires and circuit breakers, and perform circuit tracing.
- Install, wire, and mount transformers, bus plugs, electrical panels, and associated components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Work with industrial electrical components including sensors, motors, relays, connectors, and power supplies.
- Support machine and equipment installations, relocations, and upgrades.
- Install and maintain data lines, air lines, and related facility infrastructure.
- Perform general facility tasks such as equipment repairs, construction support, monitor/TV installations, and equipment movement.
- Operate aerial lifts and work at elevated heights, including rooftop access when required.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all applicable safety regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, operations, and other cross-functional teams to complete projects efficiently.
- Assist with project coordination, implementation, process improvement initiatives, and facility upgrades.
- Document work performed and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Experience bending conduit and installing electrical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of wire sizing, breaker sizing, transformers, bus plugs, and power distribution systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical components including motors, sensors, relays, connectors, and power supplies.
- Experience with machine installations and equipment setup.
- Ability to work from aerial lifts and climb ladders safely.
- Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and industrial safety standards.
