A global medical technology organization is seeking a Human Factors Engineer II to support a robotic-assisted surgery platform. This role focuses on user-centered design, usability testing, and use-related risk analysis for medical devices. The engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, effective, and intuitive user experiences across new and released products.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, conduct, and moderate usability studies with clinicians and end users
Perform contextual inquiry and observational research in surgical environments
Execute use-related risk analysis and evaluate risk control effectiveness
Develop and maintain Usability Engineering File (UEF) documentation
Support regulatory usability documentation and submissions
Analyze usability data, identify root causes, and recommend design improvements
Support post-market usability issue identification and mitigation
