Pharmacist — Full-Time or Part-Time
Grove Pharmacy | Springfield, Missouri
Grove Retail and Compounding Pharmacy is growing, and we are looking for a motivated, patient-focused pharmacist to join our team. We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates and are looking for someone who enjoys practicing pharmacy in a more personalized, clinical, and collaborative environment.
At Grove, pharmacists have the opportunity to do more than simply fill prescriptions. We work closely with patients and healthcare providers to develop customized medication solutions in our compounding lab, including specialized dosage forms, unique formulations, and customized medications tailored to individual patient needs. We are also expanding our clinical services, offering a more complete care system for our patients.
What You'll Do
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
- Perform final verification of traditional prescriptions and/or compounded preparations
- Collaborate with prescribers to develop appropriate medication solutions
- Counsel patients regarding medications, administration, storage, and potential adverse effects
- Provide clinical support and recommendations to patients and healthcare providers
- Oversee and support pharmacy technicians and compounding personnel
- Ensure compliance with Missouri pharmacy regulations, applicable USP standards, etc
- Assist with quality assurance, documentation, and pharmacy operations
- Perform Medication Therapy Management services for patients
- Provide excellent, personalized patient care
- Help create a positive, professional, and team-oriented pharmacy environment
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree
- Current Missouri pharmacist license in good standing
- MTS Certification
- Immunization Certificate, Notification of Intent to Immunize, etc
- BLS Certificate
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to patient safety and quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred:
- 2 years of experience
- Compounding pharmacy experience, non-sterile or sterile compounding
- Interest in personalized medicine and innovative pharmacy practice
- Previous experience working with healthcare providers on customized medication solutions
