We work at the intersection of business, government, media, and public opinion—running campaigns designed to win in high-stakes environments. Our clients range from leading universities and Fortune 500 companies to growth-stage startups and mission-driven organizations.

Role Overview

The Research Associate supports Grove Partners’ campaign and client work through rigorous research, high-quality writing, and day-to-day execution of strategic initiatives. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to translate strategy into action—producing written materials, monitoring policy developments, and supporting stakeholder and grassroots engagement across a diverse portfolio of campaigns.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited for a detail-oriented and intellectually curious professional who is eager to contribute meaningfully to high-impact public affairs, communications, and advocacy work.

Writing & Content Development

  • Assist in the creation and development of written materials including articles, blog posts, social media content, white papers, case studies, and data-driven reports.
  • Edit and proofread written materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency with Grove Partners’ standards.
  • Help translate complex policy, data, or technical concepts into accessible content for non-technical audiences.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate with internal team members to enhance written content with visuals such as infographics, charts, and design elements.
  • Support stakeholder and grassroots engagement efforts through research, content development, and follow-through.
  • Stay attuned to client needs, preferences, and challenges to ensure effective execution of assigned tactics.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, English, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a writer, researcher, content creator, or in a similar role.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on a political campaign or in a public affairs, advocacy, or communications environment.
  • Familiarity with grassroots engagement, campaign tactics, and storytelling techniques.
  • Demonstrated creativity and curiosity across a wide range of policy and industry topics.

What We Offer
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial team environment with direct access to senior leadership.
  • Base salary of $60,000-$65,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including: medical and dental insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution and vesting, paid time off and holidays.
