GH Valet/Shuttle Captain I

As a Shuttle & Valet Captain at the Grove, you will lead by example to ensure smooth, courteous, and efficient transportation and parking services.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for shuttle and valet services during assigned shifts, ensuring guests receive prompt, professional, and      courteous service.
• Train new team members on driving routes, valet procedures, guest service expectations, and safety protocols.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for shuttle and valet team members during your shift, offering guidance and support as      needed.
• Monitor guest traffic, adjust team deployment, and assist with logistics to ensure smooth vehicle flow during peak hours or      events.
• Perform regular shuttle and valet duties including transporting guests, parking and retrieving vehicles, and assisting with      luggage.
• Communicate with hotel departments regarding guest requests, arrivals, or transportation needs.
• Ensure vehicles used in guest service are clean, fueled, and operating safely; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain professionalism and set the tone for team members through positive attitude, efficient work habits, and commitment      to guest satisfaction.
• Report any guest concerns, accidents, or unusual incidents to hotel management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in valet or shuttle services required, leadership experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead by example and mentor new team members.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs. 
• Knowledge of hotel layout, local attractions, and driving routes is a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (e.g., luggage, equipment).
• Must be able to stand, walk, jog, and move quickly for long periods of time.
