    Title: Dept. A - Class II 10 month Secretarial Position


    Reports to: Building Principal

    Job Summary: To assure the smooth and efficient daily operations of the given office and to continuously improve efficiency and accuracy in the performance of job responsibilities:

    Essential Functions:
    • Performs general office duties, including but not limited to telephone/email, intercom message systems, mailing duties, receptionist duties, preparation/editing of correspondence/reports, scheduling, general filing, photocopying, maintaining records, and monthly reports.
    • Uses computer/technology skills in performance duties, such as use of the Internet, accessing databases, spreadsheet design, desktop publishing and creation of forms. Updates skills to ensure ability to use technology and implement new practices and procedures as they are developed.
    • Greets and assists visitors.
    • Assists building population (students, parents, staff, and administrators) with requests and assigned tasks. Receives and dispatches messages. Functions as registrar to receive submissions hand delivered by parents/guardians.
    • Ensures equipment in work area is kept stocked with paper, ink, toner, or similar items necessary to their daily use and maintained in working order, addresses minor malfunctions, maintains appropriate inventory and recommends service when needed for issues which cannot be handled in house.
    • Maintains confidentiality with all District information, including District and school population information.
    • Supports central office administration by entering and tracking assigned information, classifies, sorts and files correspondence or other data, and compares information or data with other records for verification.
    • Promptly completes notification calls to individuals relating to emergencies as directed.

    Education
    High School diploma required
