What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce?
The Administrative Assistant will be the administrative support for the President / CEO, the Events Coordinator, and the Marketing and Design Specialist. The Administrative Assistant must be highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment while balancing multiple duties.
Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 – 4 years of administrative support experience; ideally in a nonprofit setting
- Must possess a very strong sense of punctuality, reliability, understanding of time management, and task coordination to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while exhibiting and driving a sense of calm
- Must be highly organized in thinking and actions
- Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction or supervision
- Possess above-average computer/internet literacy, web page, e-mail, and information search skills
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, event software, forms, queries, and reports
- Ability to write clear, concise, and professional business letters, reports
- Able to work well in multiple social and interpersonal situations
- Have a clear understanding of diplomacy and professionalism in personal conduct and appearance
- Strong aptitude for independent problem solving
- Comfortable making phone calls to update information, solicit business for sponsorship, ads, event and program attendance, and collections
- Help with the coordination of special projects/meetings inside and outside of the office
- Oversee facility, including cleanliness, safety, and maintenance
Must have demonstrated experience and a high level of proficiency with the following:
- Membership database software (data entry and data management)
- Event management software
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Suite, Canva, Internet
- WordPress (helpful but not required)
- Desktop/laptop PC, printer, copier, fax, scanner, VOIP telephones, calculator, digital camera
