Our hospital utilizes EzyVet, a modern cloud-based veterinary practice management software system, allowing our team to efficiently manage medical records, scheduling, diagnostics, invoicing, and client communications.
Surgical Experience
Our veterinarian performs a wide variety of routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries in-house, providing excellent opportunities to develop surgical nursing and anesthesia skills.
For orthopedic and other advanced procedures, a Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon performs surgeries at our hospital, giving our staff exposure to specialty-level surgical cases.
Position Responsibilities
This is a cross-trained position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work comfortably in multiple areas of the hospital, including:
Front Desk
- Greeting clients and patients
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering phones and responding to client inquiries
- Checking patients in and out
- Processing invoices and payments
- Maintaining accurate client communication
- Using EzyVet practice management software for scheduling, medical records, and billing
Exam Rooms
- Obtaining patient histories
- Recording medical information in EzyVet
- Assisting the veterinarian during examinations
- Educating clients on medications, treatments, nutrition, and preventive care
- Preparing estimates and treatment plans
Treatment Area
- Patient restraint and nursing care
- Blood collection and laboratory sample preparation
- Running in-house diagnostics
- Administering medications and treatments
- Surgical preparation
- Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Digital radiography
- Laser therapy treatments
- Maintaining treatment and surgical equipment
- Hospital cleanliness and inventory management
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
- Comfortable working in both front office and clinical settings
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassion for pets and their owners
