What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Master Plumber position at Groupe Conseil Procura Talent?
Most plumbing roles are one thing: you’re either in the field or behind a desk. This one is both, and that’s what makes it interesting.
Our client is a well-established bathroom renovation company looking for a Certified Master Plumber (P1, North Carolina) who can own the plumbing piece of every installation across the region. That means signing off on permits, training installers, being on-site for commercial jobs, and making sure every drain, every fixture, every connection meets code.
What the role actually looks like:
You’re not managing from a distance. You’re out in the field validating work, coaching installers on the fundamentals, and stepping in hands-on when the job calls for it. You’re also the person who decides when a permit is needed, pulls it, logs it, and makes sure it’s closed out properly. When something doesn’t meet standard, you catch it and you fix it.
Day to day:
- Validate plumbing work across regional installations against code requirements
- Determine permit requirements, ensure correct permits are obtained, and maintain an accurate permit log
- Train and mentor installers on plumbing fundamentals and company safety protocols
- Be on-site and hands-on for commercial and larger-scale installations
- Conduct safety audits and approve plumbing scope of work per company procedures
- Participate in required inspections including standing inspections
- Perform hands-on work as needed — tub and shower drain installation and repair (no sewage or waste)
- Stay current on NC plumbing codes and flag compliance risks early
What you need:
- Certified Master Plumber with a valid Class I (P1) license in North Carolina — this is non-negotiable
- Strong grasp of plumbing codes and the permitting process
- Experience with residential and commercial plumbing, especially tub and shower drain work
- Comfortable training and guiding others — you can explain the why, not just the how
- Valid driver’s licence, clean record
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and confident making judgment calls in the field
What’s in it for you:
Company vehicle · Tools · Cell phone & laptop · Uniform · Medical benefits · Permanent full-time role with real regional impact
This is a key technical role, not a stepping stone. If you’re a Master Plumber who wants ownership, variety, and the chance to set the standard for how plumbing is done across an entire team, Apply now.
