We are seeking an experienced Healthcare MEP Commissioning Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems commissioning for healthcare facilities in Washington Heights. This role is critical to ensuring that all MEP systems function according to design intent, meet regulatory requirements, and support the operational needs of healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of MEP commissioning activities for healthcare construction and renovation projects.
- Develop, maintain, and execute detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and checklists.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, equipment vendors, and facility stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Review design documents, shop drawings, and submittals to verify compliance with project specifications and healthcare codes.
- Manage pre-functional and functional performance testing of MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, electrical, and life-safety systems.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific standards
- Track commissioning progress, document test results, and prepare comprehensive commissioning reports.
- Identify and resolve deficiencies, ensuring timely close-out and system turnover.
- Provide training and operational documentation to facility management teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for commissioning-related issues and updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-7 years of experience in MEP commissioning, preferably in healthcare facilities.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare building systems, regulatory requirements, and commissioning best practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
