Responsibilities
- Support updates to capital plans, including project cost, schedule, and spending data
- Maintain and update Excel trackers and financial reports on a regular basis
- Perform basic variance analysis and highlight key differences in project spending
- Assist in preparing reports and summaries for leadership review
- Monitor project spending against budgets and assist in identifying potential risks or gaps
- Support onboarding of new projects into tracking systems and spreadsheets
- Assist with review of project documentation to ensure alignment with budgets and plans
- Maintain organized and accurate financial data in Excel and internal systems
- Help build and update spreadsheets, templates, and trackers used by multiple stakeholders
- Support data entry, validation, and cleanup to ensure accuracy
- Work with internal teams to collect and verify financial and project data
- Assist in coordinating updates and maintaining communication across departments
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, project support, or similar role
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data organization
- Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and large datasets
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with SharePoint or similar document management tools
- Exposure to financial systems or project tracking tools
- Interest in capital planning, infrastructure, or project-based environments
