We are looking for responsible individuals who are able to work independently in a fast- paced collaborative team environment.The Skill SetThis internship is designed for college students interested in systems, infrastructure, desktop engineering, or IT operations who want hands-on experience in a real-world trading environment.During this internship, you will be mentored by senior members of the Systems and Desktop Engineering teams and gain exposure to the business of equity options trading. You will work alongside professionals who support critical infrastructure in a fast-paced, highly available, and performance-sensitive environment.A broad, multi-platform technical foundation will help you be successful in this role, but no prior enterprise experience is required. We encourage students with both traditional and non-traditional technical backgrounds to apply.Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical fieldCoursework or hands-on experience with Windows operating systems and basic computer hardwareIntroductory understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCPExposure to or interest in scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar)Interest in systems, infrastructure, desktop engineering, and enterprise IT operationsStrong curiosity, willingness to learn, and problem-solving mindsetAbility to communicate clearly and collaborate with teammates across technical and non-technical groupsWithin 1 Month, You'llComplete your initial orientation and become familiar with our environment, infrastructure, and businessLearn how the Systems, Desktop, and Application Support teams work together to support traders and internal usersBegin a structured training plan covering system monitoring, user support workflows, and core infrastructure conceptsGet introduced to basic scripting and automation concepts used to support operational tasksWithin 3 Months, You'llAssist with system monitoring and incident response under guidancePerform user workstation setup, software installations, and basic troubleshootingBuild confidence diagnosing common desktop, application, and connectivity issuesBegin writing or modifying simple scripts to assist with tasks such as system checks, data collection, or workflow automationContribute to documentation and process improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams supporting production trading systemsThe BenefitsWe provide a competitive hourly compensation, a environment which promotes collaboration, mentorship and continuous learning.
