Description
Secure Parking Systems (SPS) provides parking lot management services including state-trained security staffing, secure access control, and advanced security surveillance. We are looking for a Full-Time Technical Operations Manager to oversee our parking lot operations in the Newark, NJ area. This role serves as a key link between the Operations Center and field operations, ensuring system performance, reporting integrity, and seamless coordination across teams.
Scope of Role:
The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing incident reporting, security technology systems, and overall operational alignment. This role plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement across processes, data visibility, and team performance, while supporting both centralized operations and field execution.
Compensation: $26-$30 per hour (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k
Shift: Full-time schedule (Schedule and duties may vary based on operational needs)
Key Responsibilities
CCTV & Security Systems Oversight
- Oversee CCTV system health, coverage, and performance across all locations
- Identify outages, blind spots, and recurring system issues
- Partner with IT and vendors to resolve issues and support system enhancements
- Support future system upgrades and technology roadmap
Parking & Access Control Systems
- Manage cameras, LPR systems, intercoms, and gate operations across parking facilities
- Monitor system functionality and ensure consistent uptime
- Coordinate troubleshooting and maintenance with internal teams and vendors
- Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and performance
Incident Reporting & Data Integrity
- Oversee end-to-end incident reporting across operations
- Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and supported with proper documentation and video evidence
- Standardize reporting processes across all staff
- Analyze incident data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
Fleet & Operational Oversight
- Oversee fleet tracking, vehicle assignments, and inspection processes
- Ensure accuracy across systems (e.g., Fleetio) and manual logs
- Strengthen accountability for vehicle usage and key control
- Improve operational processes tied to fleet management
Operations Center Leadership
- Supervise and develop Operations Center personnel
- Drive accountability, performance standards, and reporting compliance
- Maintenance and enhance SOPs and daily workflows
- Develop and deliver training programs for Operations Center and field staff
Technology & Reporting Development
- Lead implementation of improved reporting systems and tools
- Train staff on updated systems and reporting expectations
- Support development of modern data tracking and visibility solutions
- Partner with leadership to enhance reporting capabilities (e.g., dashboards, analytics)
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as the liaison between Operations Center, field teams, and leadership
- Partner with field managers to improve communication and execution
- Support real-time operational response and decision-making
- Drive alignment across departments to improve overall performance
Requirements
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 3 years of experience (subject to insurance carrier approval
- 3–7 years of experience in security operations, operations management, or similar environment
- Experience with CCTV systems, access control, or security technology preferred
- Strong understanding of incident reporting, compliance, and operational workflows
- Experience managing teams and driving accountability
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify trends and improve processes
- Proficiency with reporting tools and systems (Fleetio, Power BI, or similar a plus)
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
