Job Summary:
- We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven General Manager to oversee the operations of our retail location with a strong focus on sales performance, team training, and exceptional patient engagement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who sets the tone on the sales floor—educating the team, elevating the customer journey, and driving a high-energy, high-output environment.
- The General Manager will ensure all staff are fully educated on cannabis, terpenes, new products, and active promotions. This role is responsible for inspiring, coaching, and developing floor managers and budtenders to maximize every interaction through strong product knowledge, confident communication, and authentic upselling.
- The GM maintains a positive store culture, keeps team morale high, ensures smooth daily workflow, and upholds GOLDLFLOWER’s commitment to excellence in service, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Some of the key metrics the GM will be measured on are the store’s total sales, monthly customer and sales growth, average basket size per sale, Google Reviews (4.95-5), and employee satisfaction.
Requirements:
- At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior leadership experience in a dispensary or fast-paced retail environment where sales performance was a core responsibility.
- Clean record verified by a Level 2 Background Screening (Florida Department of Law Enforcement).
- Strong understanding of inventory management and retail operations.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and retail technology.
- Ability to work full-time with flexibility for night and weekend shifts.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse team personalities.
- Able to resolve issues professionally and maintain composure in challenging situations.
- Strong math and cash-handling skills.

Responsibilities:
- Strong sales leadership with the ability to teach the team and hold them accountable for the sales flow.
- Lead by example on the sales floor, demonstrating strong product knowledge, customer communication, and effective sales techniques.
- Drive sales performance by training, coaching, and motivating the team to increase basket size, and conversion rates.
- Ensure staff are updated daily on new products, terpene profiles, promotions, and key selling points.
- Set clear performance expectations and accountability systems to ensure goals are consistently met.
- Maintain a high-energy environment that motivates the team to succeed and exceed bonus targets.
Team Training & Development:
- Train staff on cannabis knowledge, terpenes, product benefits, and pairing recommendations.
- Teach effective customer communication, upselling strategies, and relationship-building.
- Coach floor managers in leadership development and sales flow execution.
- Conduct routine training refreshers and product knowledge sessions.
- Provide real-time coaching during shifts to elevate performance.
Customer & Patient Experience:
- Ensure every patient receives an authentic, educational, and welcoming experience.
- Maintain an atmosphere that reflects enthusiasm, positivity, and professionalism.
- Address patient concerns quickly and turn challenges into positive outcomes.
- Oversee sales floor flow for smooth customer movement and minimal wait times.
Store Culture & Morale:
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment with strong communication.
- Keep morale high by encouraging and supporting employees.
- Set the standard for professionalism, punctuality, and store energy.
Operations & Inventory:
- Manage inventory levels, accuracy, and restocking to support sales flow.
- Oversee merchandising, cleanliness, and product presentation.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and company SOPs.
- Oversee maintenance of POS systems and technology.
- Maintain efficient payroll and scheduling structures.
Reporting & Performance Analysis:
- Generate and review daily reports on sales, inventory, KPIs, and performance.
- Analyze customer data and buying trends to adjust sales strategy.
- Provide leadership with insights and recommendations.
Administrative & Leadership Duties:
- Hire, supervise, and lead managers and team members.
- Implement health and safety protocols.
- Manage time-off requests and staffing based on demand.
- Participate in planning and executing events and promotions.
- Support reception duties as needed.
