We are looking for a dedicated Facilities Specialist to manage and maintain a private estate, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the exterior of homes and facilities, including power washing siding, windows, and hardscapes.
  • Assist with the care of vehicles and motorized equipment, including fueling, charging, cleaning, and maintenance.
  • Perform scheduled walk throughs of the interior and exterior of homes and facilities to check for damages, leaks, and electrical or HVAC issues.
  • Perform scheduled inspections of all appliances and equipment to check for cleanliness and proper functionality.
  • Maintain outdoor amenities areas including pool decks, cooking areas, trampoline park, pickle ball court, volleyball court, fire pits, etc. to ensure areas are always clean and ready for use.
  • Assist with landscaping maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, blowing leaves, watering, mulching, potting flowers, and other seasonal tasks as needed.
  • Maintain trail access and hunting grounds, ensuring trails are safe and clear of debris and hazards.
  • Perform general maintenance work, individually or as a member of a project team, when needed.
  • Safely operates required equipment, vehicles and hands, power, and shop tools related to assigned tasks.
  • Maintain weekly service log and basic records of work performed.
  • Assist with the daily care of 2 dogs, including feeding, walking, grooming, picking up dog waste and maintaining cleanliness of dog areas.
  • Follow necessary grounds and lawn maintenance schedules across all applied properties.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and follow safe work methods and safety regulations pertaining to the work.
  • Read and interpret plans, maps, and instructions when required to complete tasks.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the facilities division by offering suggestions and/or participating as an active member of the facilities team.
  • Represent the facilities team with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation with peers and property guests.
  • Understand basic principles, equipment, methods, and materials used in building and grounds maintenance activities.
  • Reactively adjust to changing assignments in a non-disruptive manner.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written directions.
  • Provides high-level confidentiality and discretion. emergency protocols for the estate, ensuring readiness for any situation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Five years of groundskeeper, maintenance, or related field experience required.
  • Home Inspector Certification preferred but not required.
  • Trade skills in plumbing, electrical and/or carpentry preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license is required. Overnight travel to other properties as needed. Evening and weekend schedule availability required.
  • Maintains all the principal’s and their family members’ communications and information confidentially as per code of ethics, and per NDA.   
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions, plans, maps, invoices, and manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints and effectively present information to staff, vendors, management, and family members.
  • Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and measurements to practical situations.
  • Proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, etc. This role requires an average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Has excellent knowledge of all job-related equipment. Understands required maintenance and operations checks and can schedule repairs when necessary. Is frequently called on to assist others with the proper use of specialized equipment.
  • Must be safety-conscious about the work environment and utilization of tools and other equipment. The work area is free of debris to prevent trips and slip hazards. All products, equipment, and other safety devices are placed in the proper location, are functional, and utilized effectively on a consistent basis. Safety work rules and good general manufacturing practices are followed.
