Role Description
This is an on-site contract role based in Toledo, OH for an Independent Contractor. The Independent Contractor will be responsible for executing daily shipping tasks, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, and maintaining clear communication with customers. The role requires adherence to schedules, efficient loading and unloading of cargo, and meticulous record-keeping. This role is a route scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Friday with weekends and major holidays off. On top of the route we desire a candidate who can deliver the occasional expedite on Mondays and Tuesdays or when the route is finished.
Qualifications
- Access to a full-sized cargo van
- Ability to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and reliably
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
- Experience in transportation, delivery, or logistics is a plus
Compensation
- The route pays $29.00 an hour and expedites pay $0.90 per mile
- The salary will also include a fuel surcharge which varies based on route and expedite
