This position is hybrid and will be required to work onsite in Madison, WI as needed.

 

We are looking for a resourceful, passionate Epic Analyst to specialize in Ambulatory. You will play an important role in supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the Ambulatory module. This role involves collaborating with clinical and technical teams to enhance Healthy Planet workflows and deliver meaningful, user GHC-SCW’s patients and members. 

 

In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and strong instincts for problem-solving, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.  You have a demonstrated ability to build relationships with many different areas of the business and you can tailor your questions and language for your audience.  Collaboration, curiosity, and being an expert advisor are among you proven top skill sets.  You should also be willing to independently research technology outside of your current skill set and comfort zone.  Knowing the answer is great, being able to find the answer is better. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Ambulatory solutions to meet the evolving needs of our organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the reporting environment.
  • Stay current with Epic's best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Epic upgrade support, implementing new functionality based on organizational strategy, and assisting with the development of training materials and analytics within the Ambulatory application.
  • IT subject matter expert for approved projects  

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and related experience.  
  • 2-3 years of healthcare or insurance industry experience. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a consultative approach with users in assessing needs and requirements. 
  • Effective planning, organizational and communication skills required. Ability to be articulate and clear in both written and verbal communications; ability to look at situations from multiple perspectives and actively listen to gain mutual understanding of problem or situation.
  • Demonstrated competency to provide a positive influence in potentially high stress situations required. Ability to remain positive despite setbacks or frustrations. 

 

Desired 

  • Experience with meeting facilitation/presentations to small/medium groups 
  • Epic certification particularly in Ambulatory 
  • Sense of humor, work hard but also have fun
