Job Responsibilities
The Upper School College Counselor key responsibilities are as follows:
• Proactively create and develop positive relationships with all school community members
(students, families, teachers, administrators, and staff).
• Meet with parents and guardians of students in assigned caseload (approximately 30 students per
grade, 10-12) to discuss student progress and to determine priorities for the students and their
academic needs and goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree in the subject area or a related field (Master’s preferred).
● Expertise in College Counseling, including knowledge of admissions processes and trends.
● Skills in College Applications and navigating application platforms.
● Experience in Student Counseling and working with high school students.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and faculty.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced educational environment with diverse students and families.
● Familiarity with college readiness tools and resources is a plus.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.
Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
