What You’ll Do
As a Tax Intern at Group 1 Automotive, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of corporate tax. Key Responsibilities
- Draft memorandums to document tax positions
- Assist in the preparation of Federal Income Tax Returns
- Research certain federal and state tax matters.
- Assist with Fixed Asset processes.
- Assist with various Property Tax functions.
- Junior or Senior status currently pursuing a degree in accounting.
- Preferred Minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA
- Strong interest in taxation and desire to pursue a career in tax.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hands-on experience in tax compliance, planning, and analysis
