Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our vibrant cafe. Duties
- Assist in managing daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food and beverage stock levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules and ensuring smooth service flow
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food presentation
- Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing operational efficiency
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Lead staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster team development
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management roles
- Supervising or team management experience within quick service or casual dining environments
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred
- Background in food preparation, kitchen management, or culinary operations is highly desirable
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and staff training & development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hospitality industry standards
- Prior experience in fine dining, catering, or hotel food service is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage shift operations effectively
