WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead prototype electrical integration for Grounded's mobile vehicle fleet.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to test, wire, and assemble custom Grounded electrical components.
- Interpret and apply electrical schematics and shop drawings
- Assist in rapid iteration and troubleshooting of builds in a fast-paced environment
- Work extended hours and weekends as necessary during build cycles
REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to relocate to Detroit (if not already local)
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience in electrical integration and wiring
- Comfortable lifting up to 45 lbs unassisted
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
- Trade school certification or Bachelor’s degree
- Strong engineering drawing interpretation and creation skills
- Experience with prototyping and rapid iteration
- Excellent communication and team leadership ability
- Exposure to diverse manufacturing equipment and methods
- Adaptability in high-pressure, shifting role environments
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS
This is a contract to hire role. The initial contract will be for 2 months, with the opportunity to come on full time for someone who raises the bar. This role will be compensated with a hourly pay plus overtime (and opportunities for overtime every week).
ADDITIONAL NOTES
This role is an in-person role in Detroit. We are located in Corktown, right next to the Michigan train station on the Ford-backed Michigan Central campus at 2059 Saint Anne.
