Duties
- Manage daily operations of the child care center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Develop, implement, and oversee care plans tailored to each child's needs, including those requiring specialized attention such as developmental disabilities or health concerns
- Supervise staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated team environment
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies
- Coordinate activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain detailed records of children's progress, incident reports, staff schedules, and regulatory documentation
- Oversee budgeting processes, supply inventory management, and resource allocation to optimize center operations
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress updates and address concerns effectively
- Lead efforts in community engagement to promote the center’s programs and services
Requirements
- Licensed Childcare Administrators (LCCA) certification
- Proven experience in residential care settings with familiarity in mental and behavioral health
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in group home or home & community care environments
- Strong understanding of service care plans
- Experience in medication administration and health & safety protocols within caregiving environments
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Compassionate approach combined with excellent communication skills for working with children, families, staff, and community partners
