Position Summary
The Lawn Maintenance Production Manager is responsible for the overall performance of Ground Pro's Lawn Maintenance Department. This position leads Foremen and crews, manages production, quality, staffing, training, equipment support, and snow operations while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and profitably. This position is accountable for the performance and development of the Lawn Maintenance Department and the successful execution of all services performed by the department. Success is measured by developing strong Foremen, maintaining productive crews, and delivering consistent quality.

Primary Responsibilities

· Oversee all Lawn Maintenance crews and keep crews productive throughout each workday.

· Provide field support, coaching, and problem solving for Foremen and crews.

· Develop Foremen by teaching leadership, production management, quality standards, and crew accountability.

· Ensure every crew member receives proper training through the Foreman.

· Conduct regular onsite quality inspections.

· Audit and verify that required BEFORE and AFTER photos have been uploaded into Aspire for every completed job site.

· Establish annual mowing routes and continually improve routes throughout the season.

· Review the weekly efficiency report with Foremen, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.

· Monitor truck trackers weekly to improve routing, productivity, and accountability.

· Approve employee time daily along with vacation requests and ensure accurate Aspire timekeeping.

· Ensure crews are properly staffed to meet production goals and minimize overtime.

· Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacement to minimize downtime and maximize crew productivity.

· Ensure crews correctly use Aspire, including shop time, job time, and end-of-day clock-out procedures.

· Inspect crews returning each day and verify trucks, trailers, and equipment are ready for the next morning.

Foreman Accountability

· Ensure every Lawn Maintenance Foreman consistently executes the responsibilities outlined in the Lawn Maintenance Foreman Job Description.

· Verify compliance with PPE requirements, quality standards, budgeted hours, accurate Aspire timekeeping, before/after photo requirements, equipment maintenance, weekly blade sharpening, fueling, oil checks, crew training, and daily truck and equipment readiness.

· Regularly observe, inspect, coach, and hold Foremen accountable for their crews' performance.

· Delegating responsibilities to Foremen does not remove the Production Manager's accountability for ensuring they are consistently executed throughout the department.

Leadership Development

· Develop and mentor at least one qualified Second in Command capable of leading the Lawn Maintenance Department during vacations, absences, emergencies, or future company growth.

· Delegate responsibilities to build leadership depth and regularly assess the backup leader's readiness.

Staffing & Performance Management

· Work collaboratively with the Office Director to maintain appropriate staffing levels by identifying hiring needs, interviewing qualified candidates, selecting the best candidates, and filling open positions in a timely manner in accordance with Company policy.

· Onboard and train new employees on Ground Pro's safety standards, quality expectations, and operating procedures.

· Conduct regular coaching conversations and performance reviews.

· Address employee performance issues through coaching, documentation, and corrective action.

· Recommend or execute employee terminations in accordance with Company policy when necessary.

Snow & Ice Operations

· Monitor weather forecasts and prepare snow response plans.

· Dispatch crews and subcontractors during snow events.

· Inspect properties during events to ensure quality.

· Ensure snow event time is entered into Aspire and approve employee time.

· During off-weeks, run a Snow Maintenance route as needed to support production.

· Quality – Consistently deliver high-quality work with minimal callbacks.

· Foreman Development – Develop high-performing Foremen and maintain a qualified Second in Command capable of successfully leading the department during the Production Manager's absence.

· Safety – Maintain PPE compliance and minimize preventable incidents.

· Operational Readiness – Ensure timely payroll approval, Aspire documentation compliance, and equipment readiness.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
