Ground Effects a leading automotive up-fit supplier, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Wentzville! Hours are primarily 1st shift hours however, additional ability to be flexible in order to meet coverage across a three-shift operation.
The position of Logistics Supervisor is to oversee incoming and outgoing processes for customer vehicles. Ensure that First in First Out (FIFO) requirements are being followed for all vehicles. Supervise yard team members ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures both of GFX and our customers.
Job Duties
- Oversee completed operations of the “Yard” . Provide direct supervision to yard and/or hourly employees.
- Plan daily work schedules, determine priorities, allocate work assignments, and regulate yard processes in order to meet specific daily requirements
- Evaluating employees’ performance and provide feedback. Communicate with logistics’ manager units coming to GFX and leaving GFX.
- Reporting any and all damages on the incoming vehicles.
- Verify all units with flat tires have been quarantined and all units have been scanned as shipped (cannot scan unit once loaded).
- Flagging and staging miss-shipped vehicles according to company process.
- Tracking damaged units and processing according to company process.
- Receive and process incoming shipments per work instructions.
- Organize, perform, and reconcile customer inventory as required by policy.
- Driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity, quality and spending.
- Comply with all regulatory agencies (OSHA, MIOSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Enforce safe operating principles as prescribed by internal policies. Ensure employees are acquainted with and aware of the hazards present in the workplace and provide information, instruction and properly supervise employees.
- Meet daily production goals. Handling shift administrative activities such as time/absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, overtime and etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics or equivalent. Experience in automotive upfitting is a plus.
- Proven leadership and communication skills are a must.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO 14001.
- Requirements, EPA-RCRA standard and OSHA Requirements is preferred but will train.
- Must be team oriented and have excellent communication, organizational, and basic computer skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate leadership competencies.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
Pay: $24.66 per hour
Expected hours: 45-50, per week
